in dem Gedanken aus an dich,
dem Schiffer gleich, der aus bewegter Flut
zum stillen Hafen rettet sich.2

Als wie am Tag ein wilder Vogel fliegt,
waldaus, waldein, [nach seiner Lust,
doch bei der Nacht ins weiche Nest sich schmiegt,
so schmieg' ich mich an deine Brust.]3

Ich ruh' in dir, in deiner Liebe ruht
der Drang der Seele wild und scheu;
unsicher ist [des Lebensmeeres]4 Flut,
