Ich kenn' ein Lied voll Wehmut, und ist doch so süß und so sacht, und hört' ich es singen bei Tage, ich hört' es im Traume bei Nacht. Es singet vom traurigen Scheiden von dem, was der Himmel mir gab, doch auch von dem seligen Finden, wenn einmal ich ruh' im Grab. O singt mir das Lied voll Wehmut, es klingt mir so süß und so sacht, und hör' ich es singen bei Tage, ich hör' es im Traume bei Nacht.
