Pleure, petite fille !
Language: French (Français)
Je suis et tremblante et confuse :
oh ! ma mère avait bien raison ;
Lubin ne m'a montré que ruse,
que perfidie et trahison.
Comme l'éclair qui passe et brille
mon bonheur naît et déjà fuit ;
pleure, pleure petite fille,
ta mère te avait bien dit.

Chaque matin, je te le jure
ici, me disait le trompeur
au bruit du ruisseau qui murmure :
Je viendrai t'offrir une fleur.
Le ruisseau coule, et la fleur brille,
et pourtant le méchant me fuit !
Pleure etc.

Bon Ermite du voisinage
qu'on recontre toujours priant,
priez Dieu pour que le volage
a mes pieds vienne repentant.
Dans mon coeur ce doux espoir brille ;
non, pour toujours l'ingrat me fuit.
Pleure etc.
