Der Himmel im Walde
Language: German (Deutsch)
Chosen for Diff
Da droben auf dem Berge
verweilt' ich tief betrübt;
da streift mich eine Lerche
und fraget, was es gibt,

schwingt singend dann zum Walde
sich nieder in das Tal,
dass es gar wonnig schallte
im laubdurchwirkten Saal.

Der Wald, der grüßt aufs Beste,
kühlt meine wunde Brust
und schüttelt seine Äste
vor lauter Freud' und Lust:

„Du junges Blut, sei munter,
lass fahren jede Pein!
Vom Berge komm herunter
und kehre bei mir ein!

Du blickest so mit Sehnen
zum Himmel über dir;
ich trockne deine Tränen,
sollst finden ihn bei mir!“

Er langte mit den Zweigen
zum blauen Himmel hin,
tät' liebend ihn erreichen
und zu sich niederzieh'n.

Drauf schloss mit seinen Armen
er liebevoll mich ein;
nun musst' ich wohl erwarmen,
ich war im Himmel drein.
