L'éveil de pâques

Les vieilles mains d'argent des coutumes locales
Et carillons et bruit de fête à pleins bourdons
Tendent soudain les longs et torpides cordons
A l'horloge de mes douleurs maniacales.
Le sonnant cuivre clair de musiques pascales
Couvre les voix et les sanglots des abandons;
Et me voici: le radieux vers des pardons
Ardents et purs, ainsi que des lueurs focales.
Des Christs passent dans l'air et font leur charité;
Et je suis bon et net et droit par volonté,
Bien que le vieux péché gèle toujours mon âme.
Je sens mon coeur tiédir, sous leurs beaux doigts de flamme,
Posés sur mon désir d'être, malgré l'hiver,
L'herbe neuve qui brille au vent acide et vert.
