Hier schlummert Maria am murmelnden Saum,
Drum leise, mein Bächlein, stör nicht ihren Traum!

Ihr flatternden Tauben im schattigen Hag,
Ihr schwingenden Drosseln mit jubelndem Schlag,
Grünhaubiger Kiebitz, nehmt ja euch in acht,
Daß aus ihrem Traume mein Lieb nicht erwacht!

Wie sprudeln die Quellen kristallklar herauf!
Die blauen Berge, wie ragen sie auf!
Da wandre und streife umher ich so gern
Und grüße die Hütte der Holden von fern.
