Kamperfoelie

Ik had niet vaak meer aan dat huis gedacht, 
Noch aan dien tuin. 
Dit alles is verleden. 
Eindlijk raakt ieder ieder leed ontgleden, 
Al is het hart ook bijna omgebracht.
Vanwaar dan dat, terwijl 't ontembaar hart
Al lang naar andre, verdre dingen haakte, 
Ik mij weer in 't voormalige wist verward, 
Omdat ik aan den geur dacht, zwoel en lauw, 
Die van de kamperfoelie zich losmaakte 
Bij 't stijgen van den zomeravonddauw.
