In die Ferne möcht' ich fliehen, Doch dein Blick hält mich zurück; Laß die Andren rastlos ziehen, Wo ich liebe, wohnt mein Glück. Laß die Zeit sich dreh'n im Kreise, -- Wenn auch Lenz und Sommer flieht, Immer tönt die alte Weise, Immer klingt das eine Lied: Eine Seel' umschlingt die Andre, Jede Stund' ist ewig Glück! Spricht das Leben: "Wandre wandre!" Fleht die Liebe: "Bleib zurück!"
