Einsamer Trinker am Meer

Die Sonne ruht auf Baum und Bucht.
Gefallne Blätter betten sich im Winde.
Ein Vogel sucht sein Nest. Ein Fräulein ihr Gesinde.
Und eine Wolke schläft in dunkler Schlucht.

Mein Herz ist einsam, weil es keinen Reim hat.
Ich sitz am Meer. Im Schaum erblühn Gedanken,
Die sich zur Oleanderlaube ranken.
Ich sitz und trink. Weit draußen liegt die Heimat.
