Der Ackersmann
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG

The ploughman
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
Unwaveringly, my gaze measures the lines,
Step by step I stride in the furrows.
The earth steams, the ploughshare claps and clangs,
And plenteous strength rises from every footstep!

My morning is heavy with rich plenitude,
My blood surges with every breath.
I feel the things around me to be within me
And I stride mightily behind my plough!
