by Joseph Karl Benedikt, Freiherr von Eichendorff (1788 - 1857)

Die Zeit geht schnell
Language: German (Deutsch)
Lieb' Vöglein, vor Blüten
Sieht man dich kaum,
Im dämmernd beglühten
Flüsternden Baum,
Wann in Morgenfunken
Sprüh'n Täler und Quell,
Singst du frühlingstrunken -
Aber die Zeit geht schnell.

Wie balde muß lassen
Seine Blätter der Wald,
Die Blumen erblassen,
Die Gegend wird alt,
Erstarrt ist im Eise
Der muntere Quell -
Rüst' die Flügel zur Reise,
Denn die Zeit geht schnell!
