Verspätetes Hochzeitslied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  FRE
Die Muse fehlt nicht selten,
Wenn man sie eben will;
Sie schweift in fernen Welten,
Und nirgends hält sie still.
Die Schwärmerin verträumet
Gar oft den Glockenschlag,
Was sag ich? Sie versäumet
Selbst einen Hochzeittag.

So auch zu eurem Feste
Erscheinet sie zu spät
Und bittet nun aufs Beste
Daß ihr sie nicht verschmäht.
Des schönsten Glückes Schimmer
Erglänzt euch eben dann,
Wenn man euch jetzt und immer
Ein Brautlied singen kann.
