Am Abend
Language: German (Deutsch)
Mit meinem Gott geh ich zur Ruh
und tu in Fried mein' Augen zu,
denn Gott ins Himmels Throne
über mich wacht
bei Tag und Nacht,
auf daß ich sicher wohne:

Ich ruf zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ,
der du allein mein Helfer bist:
Laß kein Leid widerfahren,
durch deinen Schutz
vors Teufels Trutz
dein Engel mich bewahren.

Befiehl den starken Helden dein,
daß sie stets um und bei uns sein,
all's Übel von uns wenden.
Gott heil'ger Geist
dein Hilf uns leist
an unserm letzten Ende.
