Sie bewahren, sie bescheren deinem Salz die heilige Kraft, kochen in den Gartenbeeren prall den sonnensüßen Saft. In der grünen Flut der Bäume zählen sie getreu das Laub, streun in deiner Kinder Träume Mondenkräuter, Sternenstaub. Segnen Lust und Tränenfließen, Speise, Atem, Schlaf und Trank, auch das letzte Augenschließen, ohne Bitte, ohne Dank. Dem geheimen Volk zum Mahle schütte Milche und backe Brot. Rüste abendlich die Schale und verletze kein Gebot. Und so wird dir alles werden, dessen wir bedürftig sind: Tau des Himmels, Fett der Erden, bis auf Kind und Kindeskind.
