by Heinrich Weber (1821 - 1900)

Gebet
Language: German (Deutsch)
Vater, du in Himmelsauen,
Höre deiner Kinder Fleh'n!
Dir, du Heil'ger, wir vertrauen,
Ob um uns die Stürme grauen:
Nimmer werden wir vergeh'n.

Vater, du der Gnaden Quelle,
Du bist ewig unser Hort!
Wer dich liebt, der schauet helle
Durch des Lebens wilde Welle
Bis zum sichern Ruheport.

Vater, du vernimm die Lieder,
Die dir singen Lob und Ruhm!
Blicke huldvoll auf uns nieder!
Einst erheben wir dich wieder
Froh in deinem Heiligtum.
