Sieh, mich lockt mein Nachen
  Auf die hohe Fluth!
  Will mir Liebchen lachen,
  Muß mir Freud' erwachen,
  Und der längst entwichne leichte Muth.
 
Oft hält mich befangen
   Sorg' und Dunkelheit.
  Aber Liebchens Wangen
  Seh' ich rosig prangen,
  Und bin neu dem süßen Licht geweiht.
