Du bist das ungetrübte Himmelslicht,
Ich bin der Nebelschleier fern im West,
Der Deinen Glanz zu Strahlenkronen bricht!

Und sankst Du nieder in die tiefe Nacht,
Steig' ich zum Aether auf als Abendstern
Und grüsse Dich, getaucht in deine Pracht!
