gué le tems est frais,
il est si doux l'air qu'ici l'on respire,
gué point ne fait chaud sous ces saules épais.

Le jeune Alizon qui venait seulette
du fond du vallon entend la chanson;
gué faut passer l'eau,
c'est trop nourir chagrin qui m'inquiète,
gué mais faut qu'amour n'entre point au bateau.

De la pauvre enfant la peine secrète
venait d'un amant qui fut inconstant;
gué tout en voguant, 
le batelier consola la pauvrette,
gué chagrin d'amour s'en fut au gré du vent.
