Ilande, pilande svalor, på vingarna vilande
högt i det vida blånande,
vindlätt i vinande kast
jordens tröghet hånande --
likt ett löje,
klart, lätt, klingande,
träffar er flykt våra hjärtans tyngd med förakt,
likt ett jubel,
ur höjder springande,
bud om rymdernas egen
ljusgenomilade lekande makt...
Sol går ner,
men där uppe dröjer all dagens prakt,
runt kring er,
högt i en lekfullt vunnen,
luftig och lycklig trakt.
