by Adolf Ernst (1835 - 1907), as Adolf Stern

Lenz
Language: German (Deutsch)
Nun klingen durch die Wintergruft
Die Auferstehungsstimmen
Und Sonnenglanz und Veilchenduft
Die blaue Luft durchschwimmen.

Nun lacht der Frühling siegesstolz
Mit goldenem, goldenem Strahle,
Die Knospe schmückt das dürre Holz,
Es schwillt das Grün der Tale.

Nun wird der trübe Sinn erhellt,
Die Schwermutnacht umflossen.
Mir ist, als hielte die Blütenwelt
Durch dich mein Herz umschlossen.

So sicher sah ich nie im Grund
Am Hag die Knospen treiben.
Dich hält mein Arm, dich küsst mein Mund,
Und Frühling muss es bleiben.
