by Gustav Gamper (1873 - 1948)

Jünger des Weins II
Language: German (Deutsch)
Laut gesungen sei das Feuer
der berauschten Mittagsstunde,
in der griechischen Rotunde
trink' ich doppelt kühnes Feuer.

Einsam führ' ich hier den Becher,
mir der Sonne Geist zum Munde,
und es schließt sich jede Wunde,
denn ein Arzt ist dieser Becher.

Stolz gedenk ich meiner Freunde,
die mir nah' in solcher Stunde;
mit dem Freien stets im Bunde,
trink ich auf das Glück der Freunde.
