Terre en qui l'on sent vivre une âme presque humaine,
Quel est ce souvenir qui vers toime ramène?

On dirait qu'un ami me conduit par la main,
Et je vais... des ajoncs verdissent le chemin;
L'air s'emplit de l'odeur des aubépines blanches;
Les larmes de la nuit tremblent au bout des branches;
C'est signe que l'on pense à moi, des pleurs aux yeux,
Et, d'être ainsi pleuré, mon exil est joyeux.
