Die schnell Fliehenden
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG
Junger Liebe [Rosenschimmer]1
Bringt kein Wiedersehn zurück;
Goldne Zeit, du kehrest nimmer,
Du, des Lebens schönstes Glück.

Kurz nur ist der Blume Blühen,
Wie dieselbe schnell verweht,
Endet junger Liebe Glühen,
Deren Zauber früh vergeht.

Immer kreisen gleich die Horen,
Täglich kehrt das Sonnenlicht,
Was einst war, wird neu geboren,
Nur der Liebe Blüthe nicht.

Ew'ges Sehnen! eitle Klage!
Junge Liebe, bist vorbey,
Nimmer kehren deine Tage,
Nimmer wie des Lebens May.
