by Carl (Ferdinand Max) Hauptmann (1858 - 1921)

Im Dämmer der Nacht
Language: German (Deutsch)
Im Dämmer der Nacht,
in Mondesluft –
es wehten die Schäume
Nebelduft
aus felsiger Klamm,
wo der Zacken grollt:
Da schien mir Licht
mein dunkles Leid.
Und alle Tropfen,
die niedergerollt,
strahlten heimlich
wie Augenschein.
Und alle Freude
aus ferner Zeit
sprang, wie die Flut,
von Stein zu Stein
in die schaurige Tiefe
hinab.
