Schelmische Abwehr
Language: German (Deutsch)
Was fällt ihm ein,
dem edlen Herrn und Ritter?
Bin ich schon sein?
Nein, nein!
Geschwind herab das Gitter!

Hat so ein Mann
'mal einen Blick gestohlen,
gleich glaubt er dann,
der Erztyrann,
man hängt ihm an den Sohlen!

Er irrt sich sehr,
so schlimm ward nicht geschossen;
er meint wohl, ach,
die Burg sei schwach,
die Bresche wird geschlossen!

Ich will doch schau'n
mit Augen grausam harten.
Die Männer bau'n
auf Selbstvertrau'n;
wer trumpfen will, muss warten!
