Gesang der Heiligen Drei Könige

Wir heiligen drei Könige aus fernem Mohrenland,
wir führen jeder ein Kamel mit uns am Halfterband.
Weihrauch und Myrren trägt das ein',
das andre eitel Gold,
das dritte Woll und Seidentuch
für's liebe Kindlein hold.
Wir zogen tausend Meilen weit
durch Sonn' und heißem Sand 
und folgten treu dem heil'gen Stern,
der hoch am Himmel stand.
Wir heiligen drei Könige,
wir hatten viel Beschwer
und wenn wir erst das Kind gesehn,
wir fühlen sie nicht mehr.
