Les gouttes de mon sang, dans l'herbe où tu chemines,
Feront germer des fleurs roses et purpurines ;
Et les pleurs que mes yeux versent comme il te plaît 
Feront croître des fleurs plus blanches que le lait.

Si bien que mes douleurs embelliront la terre ;
Ce que je souffrirai sera pour te mieux plaire,
Et mes plaintes d'amour et mes tristes aveux 
Feront plus doucement voltiger tes cheveux.
