Landskab
Language: Norwegian (Bokmål)
Our translations:  FRE
En mørk, uendlig lyngmark
ned mod et blytungt hav.
En sen oktoberaften
under en himmel lav.

Og dog en vældig stilhed
gjennem det dybe rum,
— som smerte, der har sørget
sig langsomt stolt og stum.

Confirmed with Vilhelm Krag, Nye Digte, Kristiania, H. Aschehough & Co.s Forlag, 1897, page 123.

Paysage
Language: French (Français)  after the Norwegian (Bokmål)
Une lande sombre et sans fin,
une mer triste, lourde comme du plomb.
Un soir tardif d’octobre
sous un ciel bas.

Et pourtant un silence immense
traverse ce profond espace,
comme une douleur affligée,
lentement, fière et muette.
