Ons wierd op eenen dag, te gaâr,
ontsteken 's levens lampken klaar;
wij groeiden en wij leerden,
vervroomden en vermeerden,
door God als bij der hand geleid,
door Kerke en Priester voorbereid.
En heden, heden kwamen
wij wederom te zamen,
in Gods gewijde bruiloftszaal,
om 't hemelsch Lam, voor de eerste maal,
na jaren lang verlangen,
te nutten en te ontvangen!
o Ouders, Vrienden, die neemt deel
in ons geluk, zij algeheel
onz' liefde, ons licht, ons leven
aan God in dank gegeven,
tot dat, na jaren lang of kort,
God zelve ons licht, ons leven wordt!
