Bloesem

Oneindig zijn de vloeren van den nacht -
en droomend bruinen vrede, deint, o akkeraarde,
dit donkre nachtland in uw warmen schoot

o, paarlen licht

aan donkers zachte zoomen
schoort een verlaten boom
den wankelenden boog der nacht

als gij den avond om uw schouders plooit,
figuur, gekerfd uit nachtelijk ivoor,
den droom der wimpers langs de luchten spant
en scheemrend schrijdt

blauwen uw oogen bloei
en slaan de velden witten geur en wijn,
die uw omdroomde schreden kostbaar siert;
en firmamenten ruischen sterrenbloesems,
die uwer handen tasten scheemrend dauwt.

en door ons warme schrijden schrijdt de nacht.
maar hoor, het wappren van haar grijzen mantel
over den loomenstap der eeuwigheid.
