Sings us a joyful song of courtly love[;]
In deep sorrow,

In sweet trembling!
The [Mr.] Heckenhauer!

You just paint the fence prettily now,
Nevertheless, you will not get a wife anymore!
Spare us the urgings
Of your love!
Just do not rely on us,
But turn your eye toward other women!

I don't know, if you would court me,
Then I would certainly die!
Be reasonable
And do me the favour[;]
T'would be all too unpleasant
Oh [Mr.] Heckenhauer!
