by Christian Winther (1796 - 1876)

Til Sundhedskilden gik jeg
Language: Danish (Dansk)
Til Sundhedskilden gik jeg
For Dig, min Hjertenskjær!
Og Lægedrikken fik jeg,
Som jeg Dig sender her.

Mens kummerfuld og stille
Jeg sad paa Kildens Kant
Og borte Vandet trille,
Fra mit Øie Taaren randt.

Til Nymphen, den smukke,
Som hersker der i Løn,
Jeg sendte hede Sukke
Og min inderligste Bøn.

Jeg bad af Hjertets Varme
Med min bævende Mund,
Hun skulde sig forbarme
Og saae Dig stærk og sund;

Og lette al den Smerte,
Som vil tynge Dig til Jord,
Og dysse huldt Dit Hjerte
I Slummer ved sit Ord;

Og Dine Roser pleie
Og Dine Liliers Skjær
At længe jeg maatte eie
Hende, som har mig kjær!

Og jeg loved, hvis hun vilde
Bønhøre denne Gang,
Hende og hendes Kilde
Min allerbedste Sang.
