Oh món palpitant, oh dona blanca al balcó, gos lladrant a la vall, tren circulant a la llunyania, oh, com em mentíeu, com amargament m’enganyàveu – i, malgrat tot, sigueu per sempre el meus somnis i il·lusions més dolces! Sovint he temptat d’anar pel camí vers l’horrible “realitat”, on compten: professor, llei, moda i cotització de diners, però sempre he fugit, solitari, decebut i alliberat, cap a l’altre costat, on brollen el somni i la dolça follia.
