Flickans födelsedag
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Mild belyser dagens Gud
dessa blomslerslätter,
der vi bundit för din skrud
kransar och buketter.
Skön du blommar i din var,
skön i dina sexton ar!

I ditt Eden star du qvar
än, det blomsterrika;
sexton ar du plockat har,
sexton rosor lika.
Trogen kärlek bandet siar
kring de sexton blomsterar.

Men en krans, sa skön och from,
lifvet sällan knyter.
Dock ej tryta blad och blom,
der Guds dag ej tryter.
Och ditt hjertas oskuld sat
jemt sitt solsken i din var

Manga blomsterdagar bind
än till mänga kransar!
Ännu blåsor morgonvind,
lifvets bölja dansar:
öfver den din julle
gallait mod sina sexton at.

Segla molian alla skär
tappert, men försigtigt
hvarje klippa farlig är,
hvarje vindkast vigtigt.
Glöm ej, att af sexton ar
du en ringa barlast far!

Kommer aftonen en gang
med sitt rika minne,
dä haf saga och haf sang
i ditt hjerta inne.
Kom ihag pä gamla dar,
huru god och skön du var!
