by Ignaz Heinrich Freiherr von Wessenberg (1774 - 1860)

Quelle des Frohsinns
Language: German (Deutsch)
Hab' ich still und ohne Prahlen
Eine gute That gethan,
O wie lacht mich Alles an
Mit des Himmels schönsten Strahlen;
Ha!  wie find' ich wohlgemuth
Diese Welt so schön und gut!

Milder leuchtet mir die Sonne,
Lieblicher des Äthers Blau;
Bächlein, Waldgesang und Au
Füllen mich mit süßrer Wonne;
Unschuld, Frohsinn, Friede spricht
Mir aus jedem Angesicht.

Weck', o Funk' aus Gottes Fülle,
Mir den Keim' oft in Gemüth,
Der zu edler That erblüht
Ohne Zeugen, in der Stille.
O dann hellt des Himmels Strahl
Mir der Erde dunkles Thal!
