Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT DUT ENG FRE ITA LIT SPA

Was Winter geschieden, verband nun der Mai,

Note for stanza 3, line 2, word 7 ("hierher") : some editions of Beethoven's song have "hieher"; the spelling can be found as well in Tonkünstler-Versammlung zu Weimar, zugleich als Vorfeier zu Ludwig van Beethoven's 100jährigen Geburtsfeste, 1870, page 24.

Sugrįžta gegužis, pražysta lanka
Language: Lithuanian (Lietuvių kalba)  after the German (Deutsch)
Sugrįžta gegužis, pražysta lanka
Vėjelis vėl dvelkia švelnia atgaiva
Upeliai klegėdami teka.

Sugrįžta kregždutė po stogu gimtu
Ir lizdą nulipdo tuoktuvėms laiku
Ten meilei gyventi juk lemta.

Ji atneša skriedama greit šen ir ten
Kuokštelį pūkų meilės guoliui minkštam
Mažyliams – po gardų kąsnelį.

Gyvena dabar sutuoktiniai kartu
Žiema ką išskyrė, gegužis sujungs
Kas myli, kartu būti gali.

Sugrįžta gegužis, pražysta lanka
Vėjelis vėl dvelkia švelnia atgaiva
Tik aš negaliu su juo skrieti.

Jei visa, kas myli gegužis sujungs,
Deja, mūsų meilę gegužis aplenks,
Tik ašaras tenka man lieti.
