by Otto Franz Gensichen (1847 - 1933)

Ich weiß eine trauliche Stelle
Language: German (Deutsch)
Ich weiß eine trauliche Stelle
Auf stiller, einsamer Flur,
Dort scheinet der Mond so helle,
Ein Baum beschattet sie nur.

Es trägt die moosige Rinde
Verquollener Namen viel,
Es treiben Vögel und Winde
Im Laube ihr lustiges Spiel.

Ein Mägdlein mit bleichen Wangen
Sitzt dort wie in schwerem Traum,
Die traurigen Blicke hangen
Am alten, düsteren Baum.

Der trägt auch zwei Namen, vereinet
Zu einem, von Thränen bethaut;
Was seufzet das Mägdlein und weinet,
So oft sie die Namen schaut?
