by Helene Augusta Nyblom (1843 - 1926)

Sommersol
Language: Danish (Dansk)
Straal ikke, Luft , saa duftende blaa !
Brænd ikke, Blomster, saa røde !
Sommervinde, som komme og gaa,
Vær ej saa smeltende bløde !

Bølger, slaa i en anden Takt,
Hvor I mod Stranden skylle ! ⎯
O, denne Magt, denne skjulte Magt,
Som vil mit Hjerte fortrylle !

Alt hvad jeg længst har kastet bort,
Alt hvad i Smerter dode,
Bruser mig her i en fuld Accord,
Levende, stærkt imøde.

Mangen en dygtig Kamp jeg stred,
Stod mangen Dyst med Ære ;
Men denne fulde Lyksalighed,
Den kan jeg ikke bære !

Confirmed with Gunnel Vallquist, Helena Nyblom, Stockholm : Norstedt, 1987, p.230
