by Joseph Karl Benedikt, Freiherr von Eichendorff (1788 - 1857)

Nur vom Ganzen frisch gerissen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Nur vom Ganzen frisch gerissen,
Eh die Ware ganz verschlissen,
Hier ein uralt gülden Stück,
Gibt so 'n gewissen frommen Blick,
Hier ein bunter welscher Flick,
Drauf ein Stück Hausleinewand,
Macht das Welsche erst pikant.
Hie 'nen Fetzen Bärenhaut,
Daß man auch das Deutsche schaut,
Drüber einen span'schen Kragen,
Das Erhabne wird behagen,
Frisch gestichelt, fein zum Werke,
Und wird auch nichts Ganzes draus,
Sieht es doch gar niedlich aus.
