Hast du's denn ganz vergessen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Hast du's denn ganz vergessen,
Dass du mich einst geliebt?
Das waren selige Tage,
So froh und ungetrübt!

Wie oft sind wir gegangen
An des brausenden Meeres Strand,
Wenn die Sterne am Himmel standen
Und der Mond ging über's Land.

Du drücktest dann mich fester
An deine schwellende Brust,
Ich glaubt', es müsste mir springen
Das Herz vor Wonne und Lust!

Das Herz ist mir nicht zersprungen,
Es sollte anders sein;
Zerbrochen ist es worden
Von Schmerz und tiefer Pein!

Jetzt wenn die Sonne scheidet,
Geh' ich in den dunklen Wald,
Dort wein' ich still und alleine:
Wär's Abend für mich doch bald!
