Olav Kyrre
Language: Norwegian (Nynorsk)
Han Olav Kyrre,
han tenkte som so,
at Noreg var utyrst
paa Bloddrikka no.
        Og dermed han baud
        sine Nordmenn i Dugnad
        aa køyra til Gards
        ein Ting, heiter Hugnad.

Der Federne hogdest,
so Raudbylgja gleim,
der gjekk han i Ferd
med aa stella ein Heim.
        Og soleine Brigde
        i Stova han gjorde
        med fjelgare Aare
        og ljosare Ljore.

Han meinte, at Noreg
si Lukka, ho gror
no slett inkje berre
paa Valen si Jord.
        - Men Riket han bygde,
        og vel han det varda;
        og muna kje Mildord,
        so baud han det harda.
