by Heinrich Stieglitz (1801 - 1849)

Umspielt vom Hauche
Language: German (Deutsch)
Umspielt vom Hauche
Der linde Luft
Entschlumm're lächelnd
Im Blüthenduft,
Vom Kuß der Rosen
Die Wang' umschmiegt,
Im Meer der Düfte
Das Herz gewiegt.

Und wenn du schlummerst,
Dann leg' ein Chor
Von Blumengeistern
Sich an dein Ohr,
Und flüstre Klänge
Des Lichts dir zu,
Und wiege selig
Dein Herz in Ruh!

Und trage schaukelnd
Im duft'gen Traum
Empor, empor dich
Zur Ätherraum! --
Doch mußt erwachend
Du wieder mein
Bei deinen Schwestern
Den Rosen sein.
