by Edouard Turquety (1807 - 1867)

Un jour de printemps
Language: French (Français)
La légère fleur
Tremble sur sa tige,
L'abeille voltige,
Voici l'oiseleur --
L'oiseleur qui guette
La vive allouette

Le long du sillon,
Le long des allées
Tièdes et voilées,
Le gai papillon
Sème avec ses ailes
Des flots d'étincelles.

Écoutez là-bas
Les milles murmures
Des milles verdures ;
Ne dirait on pas
Qu'il est des voix douces
Jusque dans les mousses ?

Oh! dans les taillis,
Quand l'ombre s'allonge,
Quand le cor prolonge
Ses doux hallalis
Comme la pensée
Se trouve bercée

Quel charme secret
Dans l'eau transparente,
Dans la lune errante ;
Et puis, quel regret,
Quand l'aurore achève
La veille et le rêve !
