Treuste Liebe hab' ich funden 
Ach! wohl auch am fremden Strand, 
Doch es heilt des Herzens Wunden 
  Einzig nur das Heimathland. 

Frischer wehen wohl die Lüfte, 
Reicher schimmert wohl der Strand, 
Doch nicht sind's, nicht sind's die Düfte, 
  Wie sie wehn im Heimathland. 

Mag mit allem Reiz mich bannen, 
Aller Pracht der fremde Strand, 
Ach! zurück, zurück von dannen 
  Zieht's mich doch zum Heimathland!
