by Ludwig Amandus Bauer (1803 - 1846)

In der Winternacht
Language: German (Deutsch)
Als du durch die Nacht dahin
mir zur Seite gingst,
alles, was ich hab' und bin,
lauschend meinem Wort empfingst,
tief in deiner Seele Grund
tat ich einen Blick,
und von dir auch ward mir kund
wie ein Traum ein hold Geschick.

Ringsum lag in Mondespracht
träumend Flur und Hag,
und mir ward die Winternacht
wie ein lichter Frühlingstag;
komme, was da kommen mag,
noch so fern von dir
fühl' ich deines Herzens Schlag,
gleich als gingst du neben mir.
