En el crepuscle, silenciosament, la meva cançó s’esquitlla per els viaranys oblidats, ai, els no oblidats on portava la secreta corona de Klingsor, i en la fulgurant lluna de juliol com pietosa ofrena als déus del vi i de l’amor. Sou doncs totes mortes, estimades imatges d’aquell temps encisador? Sí, moríreu, us marcíreu! Però jo visc i quan la propera tempesta m’arrabassi les vostres cendres del cap i el vel del meu cor, espurnejarà la corona, totes les estrelles fulguraran de nou, i els boscos creixents cridaran el meu nom i el meu amor per a tu.
