by Gustaf Fröding (1860 - 1911)

De svarte svarte Morhianer
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
De svarte svarte Morhianer,
de gå med nakot ben
och böra ring i näsone
och göra mig stort men,
de svarte Afrikaner,
som kallas Morhianer.

Jag visade min luta
för desse svarte män
och sade: "Det är ljuvligit
att spela uppå den."
De togo den i handen
att gräva uti sanden.

Och sade: "Dårlig spade
de vite hava må."
Sen togo de min stövelknekt
och satte strängar på
och sade: "Du skall spela
på denna goda fela!"

De grävde med min luta
dess afrikanska grav.
Nu spelar jag på stövelknekt
och spelar ganska brav,
ty Celadon är vaner
vid svarte Morhianer.
