Gyng nu stille i din Vugge!
Language: Danish (Dansk)
Gyng nu stille i din Vugge!
Moder luller dig i Blund.
Hos dig sover alt din Dukke;
luk nu de Smaaøjne kun!

Saa skal Moder for dig synge
Om de Børn med Vinger paa;
De vil gjerne med dig gynge:
Det er de Guds Engle smaa.

Blomster skal de til dig bringe,
Stjernegyldne, himmelblaa,
Og vil du i Luft dig svinge,
Bringe de dig Vinger smaa.

Slotte skal de for dig bygge
Af det klare Maaneskin,
Skal med Stjerne Barnet smykke,
Bære i Guds Himmel ind.

Der de bo, de Engle fromme,
Der er alle Børn, som du:
Der skal Moder til dig komme,
Naar du bliver from som nu.

Sødt du slumrer alt og smiler,
Drømmer alt om Engle smaa,
Leger, flyver og heniler
Med de gyldne Vinger paa.

Drøm og smil og leg i Blunden!
Flyv med de Guds Engle smaa!
O, naar Drømmen er forsvunden --
Glem ej Himlen, Barnet saa!
