Dereinst

Dein Auge glänzt, die Wangen glühn, 
Dein junger Busen hebt sich kühn, 
Und Alles an dir lebt und lacht, 
Doch kennst du nicht und hast nicht Acht 
Der Schönheit Zaubermacht. 

Dein süßes Bild, so halt' ich's fest! 
Und wenn dereinst mich auch verläßt 
Des Lebens Lust mit seinem Mai, 
Dann, daß ich neubeseligt sei, 
Schweb' es mir so vorbei.  

Dann steh' ich plötzlich wieder jung 
Im Garten der Erinnerung, 
Es regnet Blüthen jeder Baum, 
Und durch der Seele stillen Raum 
Zieht leis ihr schönster Traum.
