Frauenhände

O laß auf deine Hände legen 
Die Lippen mich im Liebesliede 
Still wird der Sturm, es naht der Segen,
Denn deine Hände sind der Friede.

Wie Sonnengold, das leis' verglühte,
Seh' ich dein Auge tief sich senken, 
Nun soll der Hände stille Güte 
Den Herzschlag in den Hafen lenken.

Und ist das Herz zur Ruh' gebettet,
leg um die Stirne mir die Hände, 
Dag sich mein heißes Denken rettet
An weiße, duft'ge Frühlingsspende. 

Es naht ein Lied auf weichen Schwingen,
Aus deinen Händen strömt es leise, 
Ich träume . . . . . ich hör' die Mutter singen
Die alte, alte Liebesweise.
